WHO WE ARE

We are a group of published, or soon to be published, authors. We know, as you do, that

writing your book is the fun part. It’s getting your labor of love noticed that is the big challenge! By

pooling our resources together, we can make that challenge not only much easier to be

met but have fun doing it. Together we will explore what kind of advertising works, how to

network effectively to grow sales both in person and online, and how to effectively

test what works, and what doesn’t. Failure is not an option!

We recently had a very helpful and enlightening meeting led by Virginia Writers Club President

and bestselling author, Charles “Chuck” Tabb. Chuck’s first novel, Floating Twigs, went viral

within the first two years and is now approaching 100,000 sales!

Check back soon for our next meeting.

Meanwhile, please contact us with any and all ideas

for increasing publicity for books, as well as any questions that you have.

We need you to make P.A.G.E.S. work!

What we can share with you now from our first meeting and other highly respected sources:

“To increase book sales you need to constantly speak, privately and publicly, and search all the different ways

that other authors have used successfully to get more readers. Narrow it down to a few that work for you

and keep at it! As far as buying advertising, I have found that Facebook ads work best for me.”

Charles Tabb – President, Virginia Writers Club

“Carry large four by six postcards with you at all times describing your book and website. Be ready

to hand them out wherever and whenever the occasion allows for it. If you use normal

sized business cards, they will either be easily lost or tossed aside."

Jack Schuler – creator of P.A.G.E.S. and author of Mystic Chords

“Do something every day to get the word out about your book.”

Joanna Penn - Award-winning, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author

“Newsletters remain the best way to directly reach your readers and biggest fans. It helps you be less

dependent on publishers, agents, retailers, bookstores, or anyone else to reach readers who enjoy your work.”

Jane Friedman - Bestselling author and top resource for writers worldwide

“Create a website with information about you (people are curious about authors) and your books. Include

book signing schedules, links to articles and blog posts about you, pictures, excerpts from the book,

and other goodies that may get people engaged and interested so that they'll buy the book.”

Gary Robson - Author of 29 books and owner of indie bookstore.

“Establish a strong presence on social media and check it regularly.

When people ask questions, answer them promptly.”

Scott Bloom – Award-winning speaker and author of You can judge a book by its cover!
